What is gender equality?

Gender equality implies that men and women should receive the same benefits, the same sentences and be treated with the same respect, which means that all people, without distinction, have the same rights.
Equality does not mean that women and men are the same, but that rights, responsibilities and opportunities do not depend on the sex with which they were born.

 Gender equality assumes that the interests, needs and priorities of both women and men are taken into account.

Gender inequality is very frequent in our society, it is visible in different ways.

We can see it at work, the salaries of women are between a 10% and a 30% lower  than men for doing the same work. It is also easier to access job opportunities if you are a man. They dismiss more women than men from work too.

We can also see it in education, in many countries, girls have more difficulty in accessing studies and if they manage to access, they receive much less education than boys.

 In case that you can't, you can consider the option of moving to another country where you can have the opportunity.

If it's too much expensive you can try to be home schooled, or having online classes (if you have internet).
